Therapy After Surgery

Your Peak Form Physical Therapist will work closely with your surgeon to optimize the rehabilitation process and execute a plan of care tailored to your specific operation. We are extremely careful to incorporate any post-surgical precautions from your surgeon and ensure safe, steady progress.

As you heal and get your strength and range of motion back, your therapy will focus on returning you to the highest level of function possible.

Our highly qualified physical therapists specialize in treating post-operative acute injuries, sporting injuries, arthritis and amputations. Rehabilitation focuses on problems associated with muscles, bones, ligaments, and tendons.

Commonly Used Treatments and Techniques

Treatment varies according to the type of surgery performed. We will work with your surgeon on a specific protocol for treatment. Please note that we also offer pre-surgical physical therapy to help you make sure you’re in the best possible condition going into your surgery.

Management of pain and swelling
Training in use of assistive equipment (such as crutches)
